The deep inner workings of a beggar's mind

Fog

Eyes heavy with lack of rest,
Mind spinning from every test,
Heart searching for a home,
Paths twisting, and so I roam.

Time passes, and I have not moved.
People fall, and I have not loved.

Confusion and darkness,
Pain and sadness,
Colliding
With peace and happiness,
Clarity and brightness.

Time passes, and I have not moved.
People fall, and I have not loved.

The path ahead is unsure.
Fog makes the road obscure.
Life flies by like a bullet train
And I sit staring at the rain.

Time passes, and I have not moved.
People fall, and I have not loved.
And I cannot tell the difference.
